Sew Your Own Spring Pyjama Bottoms!, The Craft House, Saturday, 23. February 2019

Join the wonderful Eleanor Maw from Elmrocks for a fun and fabulous day of sewing. In this class you will learn to make a gorgeous pair of cotton pyjama bottoms in size 8-18. The trousers are drawstring at the waist and more adventurous sewists can add patch or in-seam pockets - great for smuggling sweeties or storing your hanky!
Quick stitchers can use off-cuts to make a co-ordinating eye mask for the ultimate in boudoir glamour.
This class is suitable for beginners as well as those more confident in garment-making. You'll learn how to straight stitch, finish seams, sew a hem and make a waistband channel - all skills that can be transferred and built on to make more lovely clothes. With Eleanor's help you will trace off a pattern in your correct size (if you're between standard sizes, the pattern can be adjusted acordingly).You can take your copy pattern away with you so you can sew additional pairs at can be the start of a handmade wardrobe for you!
Cost: The cost for the full day is £60, and includes a choice of two floral fabrics. We provide complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the session to keep you sewing! If you prefer to choose and bring along your own 2.5 metres of fabric and matching thread then the class cost is £50 - if this is your preferred option please contact us by email ( to make your booking, rather than booking here, so we can sort out the reduced class booking fee and put you in touch directly with Eleanor, who will guide you on fabric choice etc. 
Skill Level: Suitable for beginners and for those who have existing machine sewing skills but wish to develop their garment-making skills.
