However, to lead effectively in today’s world, you have to deliver these basics at a much higher level of to expect from the session?This will be a provocative and interactive session, challenging guests to explore their own ‘blind spots’ as leaders. Through a mixture of presentation, discussion and exercises, we will engage with the issues at the heart of each business. To this end, you are invited to bring to the session a business opportunity or challenge that you would be happy to share in small groups, in a confidential Identify strengths and development areas, both in your own leadership and across the organisation, that affect your ability to grow / scaleup your business• Prioritise the 3 top actions to improve your Leadership skills• Cascade the learning across your organisation with some of the tools and techniques you’ll learn• Share best practice with other likeminded business leaders.
Who should attend?This workshop is funded and supported by Scottish Enterprise and is for CEOs, MDs and business owners. It is an interactive session, ideal for people who are happy to share and want focused note, this event is aimed at business leaders in key decision-making Jo Macsween - Jo is the former MD of world-leading haggis brand, Macsween. She’s vintage Vistage – in fact she left Macsween to become a Vistage Chair having found seven years of membership so fundamentally business-and life-changing. She was awarded ‘Female Director of the Year’ by IoD Scotland and ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Food Industry’ by Scotland Food and Drink in 2015. Jo is a Women’s Entrepreneurial Scotland Ambassador and is a member of the Scottish Business Task Force, Scotland Office. Paul Pinson -Paul has been a Vistage Chair for eight years. Currently he Chairs two groups of CEOs and a third group of senior leaders and owners of smaller enterprises. Paul also runs his own coaching and development company – Brightspace- working with clients such as The R&A, The Assay Office and The Insights Group. Prior to Vistage Paul founded and led one of Scotland’s most successful international theatre is Vistage?Jo Macsween and Paul Pinson are Group Chairs for Vistage Scotland, part of the Vistage International group - the World’s largest CEO/Business Owners membership organisation. Established over 60 years ago it now has a worldwide membership of over 23,000 chief executives and business owners in 21 peer-to-peer advisory groups comprise CEOs and business leaders from a range of sectors. These monthly forums allow action-orientated leaders to work on, rather than in their business, and take time to reflect.
