Room 204 Exchange: Self Publishing Pros, Cons, and Practicalities, Writing West Midlands, Saturday, 16. March 2019

Increasing numbers of writers, both novice and traditionally published, are now going Indie. But what does it take to not only write but also produce, promote and sell your own books?  In this workshop we will explore self-publishing, its many challenges and benefits. We will also talk through a step-by-step ‘How to’ guide on getting your work published on Amazon and Ingram Spark as ebooks and paperbacks, and how to produce a stock of books for direct sales.
 Workshop Leader

Kate Innes trained as an archaeologist and a teacher before self-publishing three books: The Errant Hours (An Historical Novel Society Editor’s Choice which was included in the Reading List for Medieval Women’s Fiction at Bangor University) and the sequel All the Winding World, as well as a collection of poetry Flocks of Words which was shortlisted for the International Rubery Award. She runs creative writing courses and performs poetry with the acoustic band Whalebone.
