REF2021 Code of Practice Staff Consultation, 28 May 14.00 - 15.00, Streatham Court C, Tuesday, 28. May 2019

REF 2021 Code of Practice Staff Consultation
Event Information
This “town hall” style open meeting invites all staff to find out more about the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and how REF2021 is different from previous exercises. Following on from a recent consultation on the University of Exeter Draft Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) Code of Practice, this is another opportunity to discuss further the proposed route of this important document to help guide the University practices and processes in preparation for the REF2021 submission in November 2020.

About the presentation
Professor Neil Gow, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Impact, will give a general overview on what REF2021 actually is, why it is important for the University in terms of providing a world class research environment for its staff and students and how REF has changed since 2014. In addition, Neil will lead a discussion on the approaches adopted as a result of the first phase of the consultation regarding the University of Exeter Draft Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) Code of Practice, including recommendations for revisions drawn from the consultation responses. This is an opportunity to have your views heard in this second phase of drafting our REF2021 Code of Practice.
