Quilling for Beginners, The Craft House, Saturday, 11. May 2019

Ever wanted to try your hand at quilling? This gorgeous paper craft has been around for hundreds of years (check out Elizabeth I niftily putting together a paper quill roses picture with her ladies-in-waiting in the recent "Mary Queen of Scots" film!). This is a super-creative skill to learn and you can then unleash it on hundreds of wonderful craft projects!
In this class, led by Georgina Green of For Crafts Sake UK, you will learn how to create basic shapes and patterns using different tools and will explore the gorgeous effects you can make. Georgina will teach you the most effective way to hold the qilling pen and paper.
By the end of this lovely workshop you will be able to put your new skills into practice by making cards to wow your friends and family and create beautiful art pieces fit for framing. Depending on how quickly you pick up quilling skills, you should leave the workshop with a set of 5 handcrafted cards (there will also be materials to take away with you so you can finish off your work at home, to ensure that nobody feels any pressure to finish).
Cost: £55 per person - includes all materials and equipment. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
Skill Level: Suitable for beginners.
