Postgraduate taught students Welcome Talk and Services Fair, McEwan Hall, The University of Edinburgh, Tuesday, 10. September 2019

The University of Edinburgh invites all new Masters postgraduate students to your official welcome event in the magnificent McEwan Hall! This exclusive postgraduate event introduces you to your University, allows you to meet new fellow PG students and will cover what you need to know to prepare you for your career as a postgraduate student.
This event opens with a formal welcome talk by Principal Peter Mathieson, includes presentations and insights from alumni students from various programmes, talks by experts in academic transitions and information on how to maintain your positive wellbeing and the support in place to help.
Immediately following the talk, you will then have a unique opportunity to meet staff working in all student support and development services. This will be your only opportunity to see all services in one place and ask as many questions as you wish.
Due to a large number of new postgraduate students starting during Welcome Week, there are two identical versions of this event taking place on Tuesday 10th September 2019. You should choose to attend the ceremony that does not clash with any of your school/programme induction activities.
