PA Network Development Conference (Bristol) - 12 October 2018 , DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol North, Friday, 12. October 2018

Off the back of our two fantastically successful conferences in 2016 and 2017, and in response to last year's post Conference survey, we're now setting out the programme for our third annual event.  We really don't want you to miss out on the opportunity to attend!
Our full day conference will be jam packed with the learning and development you asked for.  With four key note speakers, opportunities for networking and industry related exhibitors, we're confident it will offer something for everyone.
We continue to support the #PAsareeverywherenotjustLondon campaign, and the calls for training events to take place nearer to home.  Our venue is easily accessible for delegates from just about everywhere!  Special rates are also available on Great Western Railways - c£40 return from London Paddington - see more details below.

Friday 12th October - DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol North
Easily accessible from both the M4 and M5 motorways, DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol North offers a convenient location, just 8 miles from the city center.  There are 234 parking spaces at the venue. Alternatively, it is just a short (10mins) taxi ride from Bristol Parkway station.
But if you don't fancy travelling the morning of the Conference – come and join us the night before.  See below for more details of our specially negotiated pre-conference packages.
On the day of the conference, as mentioned, we have four key-note speakers.
Registration will open at 9.00am, with the conference starting at 9.45am.  We aim to close the conference by 4.45pm.
The first session of the day – Appraising the Appraisal Process - will be led by Russell Beck, Head of Consulting at Impellam Group.  Russell is widely acknowledged as a thought leader in Talent Management.  Highly qualified and with an unrivalled depth of experience across industries and geographies, Russell thinks differently, challenges norms and envisages better ways of working. However you look at it, how we currently appraise and measure people is broken.  In this session, Russell will show how performance management can increase engagement in your workforce (by up to 40%) and how to turn a stodgy, annual process into your organisation's competitive advantage.
The second session will be hosted by a multi award winning PA trainer Paul Pennant of Today's PA, when he will show us amazing Excel and Word Productivity Hacks. Microsoft Office Certified Expert Paul promises to make us love Microsoft Word and Excel a little more. We will learn how to use it effectively to produce amazing, professional documents and spreadsheets with the use of breath-taking shortcuts.
After lunch, Julia Ward, joint Director of Articulacy UK Ltd, will give us tips and ideas on how to Speak with Confidence and Create an Impact and develop the ideal elevator pitch for all occasions!
And to round the day off, we will be joined from Atlanta via satellite link by John Shaw, former EA to the CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  John's extraordinary story takes us on a journey of self-discovery from an impoverished start to EA to the CEO of the greatest foundation in the world.  John will explain how seizing pivotal moments can shape our individual careers and life.
Elements of the day will be very interactive and we encourage all attendees to get involved. Over lunch and the breaks there will be an opportunity for you to meet exhibitors offering a range of products and services that could benefit you and/or your organisation.
