How to maximise policy impact, Crowne Plaza Manchester - Oxford Road, Thursday, 07. February 2019

Want to find out how to influence policy at the local and national level?
Over the course of this half day with lunch at the Oxford Road Crowne Plaza Hotel you will hear from: 
-Katrina Hann, Head of Research at the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) about how research can help to shape policy and thinking in Greater Manchester;
-University of Manchester academics who have influenced policies relating to shared parental leave, household sustainability, and third party conception, and
-the UK Parliament Outreach Team about how the UK Parliament uses research and how you can become involved, for example via evidence to a select comittee ().
All University of Manchester staff (academic and ps) and post-graduate students are welcome to attend this event.  
The event will start with coffee and registration 9-9.30am and finish with a networking lunch at 1.15.
