How to be an OSCE Examiner - for new Examiners 11/06/2019 (Wythenshawe), Seminar Room 7, Tuesday, 11. June 2019

***It is necessary to register if you wish to attend due to workshop capacity***  If the event is full, there will be a limited number of waiting list places available. Once these have been taken and the event is sold out, we recommend you look at future workshop dates.  
This workshop is for CTs, STs, consultants and GPs who wish to become OSCE examiners. In the workshop we will explore the process and methods for examining undergraduate medical students. If you attend this workshop it will be assumed that you are prepared to be an examiner.
 Please note: Foundation Drs are ineligible to apply for these workshops as they are not used as OSCE examiners in Manchester. 
By the end of the workshop you should be able to:

Understand the role of OSCE assessments in the Manchester MBChB Curriculum
Understand the roles and responsibilities expected of OSCE examiners
Describe the biases that affect assessor judgements
Assess OSCE candidates and provide feedback using iPad marking
Appropriately manage challenges that may arise when examining
Take on the role of an OSCE examiner
