Girls Islamic Studies - Foundations of Faith (Girls 12-15), Waterloo Centre, Saturday, 17. November 2018

Youth Hub is honoured to host a course developed by ISNAD Institute.
Seeking knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim, male and female, as stated by the Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The aim of this course is for young females to learn their individual obligations and the basics of their religion in a relaxed, comfortable environment.
The Course is delivered over 20 teaching weeks with holidays for winter and spring. We will focus on basics of prayer in order to build a solid foundation of the fundamentals. We will then move on to Spirituality, Adab and Biography of the Prophet (Seerah).
Each week will be broken down into three sessions, with short breaks in between; two forty-minute sessions will be delivered on the core topics of study and the last session will be dedicated to an open discussion, reflection or activity. This will be an opportunity for students to connect with the religion on a deeper level, benefit from one another’s company and to help and empower one another. Topics such as hijab, women in society, relevance of education, and future goals will be discussed. On succesful completion students will be awarded the 'Foundations of Faith' certificate authorised by ISNAD Institute. It is hoped that students aspire to further study and through this journey, develop themselves as strong, young Muslim women, confident with their faith and role in society.
