Why this workshop is important:
Through its internationally recognised expertise, Peterborough is uniquely placed to help drive the Circular Economy (CE). The city is a world-class pioneer in CE through its Future Peterborough programme and is one of only two UK cities in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation Circular Cities Network. It is one of four UK Future City Demonstrators and was awarded World Smart City status in 2015 in recognition of its pioneering circular economy work. Peterborough has committed to becoming a truly Circular City by 2050 and continues to build a national and international reputation for circular city thinking and implementation. Peterborough’s approach is based firmly on practical and economic principles – using real business approaches to driving the circular economy agenda in partnership with a range of local and national organisations
Engaging stakeholders in food and drink, agri and farm of the future Circular Economy principles is one of the greatest challenges facing society, companies, local government, businesses and policy makers implementing programs. High impact communications about the value of in food and drink ,agri and farm of the future Circular Economy principles can motivate people to act in ways that protect and sustain the services they care about.
Decision-making about in agri and farm of the future Circular Economy principles requires engaging people with diverse and differing perspectives in dialogues about what is at stake, who benefits and who stands to gain and grow. This workshop provides participants with practical and effective knowledge immediately applicable in a variety of contexts to improve in agri and farm of the future Circular Economy principles and strategies. Facilitate actions that sustain in food and drink ,agri and farm of the future Circular Economy principles
The workshop objective is to support growth of food and drink , agri and farm of the future implementation through expert support from Future Peterborough.
Who should attend this workshop? - Food and drink ,Agri and farm professionals working in business, policy and management in PB whose work depends upon effective, collaborative partnerships and ongoing adaptive management approaches to value, manage and sustain in agri and farm of the future Circular Economy approaches. Also Bondholder Members and members of the Chamber of Commerce as well as local agricultural organisations.
What participants will focus on during the workshop: - Participants will begin by identifying current challenges of agri and food and farm in the linear system. Then, using the Circular Roadmap as a case study, participants will workshop four phases of in food and drink ,agri and farm of the future Circular Economy principles to their own work – regenerative, supply chain, innovation and value creation and development.
Situation mapping to build shared understanding, identify sources of challenge and reveal opportunities for making progress using critical, skilful discussion and appreciation of various models of the circular economy
Delegates will look at value, value leakage and how trade-offs can improve the effectiveness of in food and drink , agri and farm of the future Circular and economy strategies that bridges gaps and motivates management and policy actions. Moving decision makers from awareness to collaborative action can be accomplished and participants will look at this process and ways to implement this powerful approach in their work.
Outcomes: - Gain a shared understanding amongst attendees of the principles of CE in the context of food and drink , agri/farm of the future
Capturing examples of best practice in combined authority area
