Climb trees and perform Aerial Rescue. This course will prepare you for the NPTC assessment for unit 002013.
Course outline:

Undertake a risk assessment of tree climbing operations

Select, inspect and use a range of tree climbing equipment

Safely climb a tree, move around the crown and descend to the ground

Carry out aerial rescues from different situations

Please note this course requires a reasonable level of fitness.

This course prepares for the NPTC City &Guilds assessment.
You will be required to supply your own climbing kit:
You will need to supply your own PPE and equipment, please ensure that each item is in a good state of repair and meets current British Safety approved standards. 
All climbing kit must be accompanied by a current LOLER certificate. If the kit is less than 6 months old you must produce receipts as evidence of this.
Equipment required for CS38 ( Climb trees and perform Aerial rescue)
• tree climbing harness, either full or sit type• tree climbing rope, minimum 12mm diameter and of suitable length (recommended 30mtrs long)• climbing irons (spikes). • six triple action karabiners• work positioning adjustable strop (either grillion or short rope with prussic• four prussic loops or split tails• any climbing or lifting equipment used during the NPTC assessment must be LOLER compliant - this means that it should be uniquely identifiable and have a record of thorough inspection presented with protective equipment required:• protective work boots (not rigger boots)• non-snag clothing• combination helmet with four point chin strap EN12492• personal first aid kit suitable to take up a tree• knife with retractable blade• whistle. This course requires good manual and physical dexterity and good general fitness.
