The CIL Youth programme is a modular programme designed to givestudents - at key stage 3 and 4 level - a basic foundation in farḑ al-‘aynknowledge, knowledge that is essential for every Muslim to unique one year programme will cover book 2 (CIL Youth 1students) & book 3 (Cil Youth 2 students) from the iSyllabus for Schoolsseries.
Featuring 36 interactive lessons, the books provide a detailed introductionto the basics of Islam. Additional material will also be covered throughoutthe year.
The course is based on a traditional understanding of Sunni doctrine andthe Hanafi school of law, and is taught by traditionally trained andauthorised teachers. Upon completing the programme, students will haveacquired a good foundational knowledge in the core disciplines as well asan exposure to formal Islamic studies.
So what is unique about this course?
1. Shaykh Tanveer & Imam Haseeb will deliver the course over 36 weeks,teaching 2 hours each week.2. 36 different lessons will be taught, covering an array of different,exciting topics related to Islam, Imaan, Ihsan, and living Islam.3. Each class will be interactive and delivered by British born, tradionallytrainded Imams; so as to maximise understanding.4. *Is CIL Youth for my child?The Cil Youth programme has successfully been running for the last 2 years with over 150 children between the ages of 11-16, Alhamdulillah.
The programme was thoroughly enjoyed by both; the children and theteachers.
This programme will allow the children-at this vulnerable and delicateperiod of their lives- to not only have access to fundamental knowledge,but more importantly to mentors who shall serve as role models andguides in this sensitive period of their lives. Safeguarding one’s faith andidentity as a Muslim is of upmost importance; and it is hoped that thisprogramme will facilitate this for our next generation.Who should attend?This programme is tailored for Muslim boys and girls between the ages of10-16.
*How are the classes taught?We run both CIL Youth 1 and CIL Youth 2 classes simultaneously. Theclasses are taught at the New Bucks University main the Format of the lessons?The lesson is 2 hours long with a 10 min break in between. All lessons aretaught from the book and have accompanying powerpoint slides which areused to display via the overhead projectors.
