Beginners Papercutting Workshop, Seeded, Sunday, 03. February 2019

Learn to Papercut at one of my beginners papercutting sessions.
Since 2015 I have been teaching monthly beginners and advanced courses at a cosy and inspiring haberdashery called Seeded in my home city of Portsmouth in Hampshire, UK and from Autumn 2017 at Wattle and Daub in Godalming.
Held on a Saturday afternoon, my workshops are usually themed to the month or season and include tea, cake and chat as I introduce you to the mindful art of paper cutting and provide you with two projects-one to do in the session and one to take home with a full basic kit.
The session will begin with a cup of calmness and an introduction to the mindful art of paper cutting before moving onto a template sheet where you will begin to learn the different techniques, moving from easy shapes to more complicated patterns.
You don't need to have any drawing skills to attend this workshop as I provide you with two beautiful frame-filling templates and the only thing you need to bring is yourself.
I am hopeful that this introduction will then give you the confidence to go home with your basic materials and to keep having a go,  but to carry on the momentum you will also be granted access to the exclusive 'Papercutters of Seeded' FB group which shares tips and inspiration from  100 + other people who have attended the course.
The maximum number of people per session is six and all materials are provided-Scalpel, pack of blades, a cutting mat and templates and backing papers-and are yours to keep and take home with you as well as refreshments and cake.
